No.1 "Good Fore"

This is a 376 yard par four hole with an out of bounds area to the left and a lateral water hazard also on the left. The water hazard is of particular interest to the longer hitters of the ball as the run of the fairway tends towards the water line, which is also protected by a line of trees. A layer of rim rock and scattered saplings protects the right hand side of the fairway, which bends slightly left to right. The brown is situated on raised ground and slopes back towards the fairway. It is also protected by a small bunker to the left.

No. 2 "Needles Eye"

331 yards par four, which also has a championship tee box extending the hole to 357 yards. The fairway is protected on both sides by trees, which continue for the entire length of the fairway. The left side of the fairway also has a sandbank placed inconveniently for the average club player as it has trees overhanging it. Beyond the tree line on the right of the fairway is a mass of shrubs and bushes. The brown slopes upwards from the fairway and has a very narrow entry, hence its name, and is also protected by a bunker on either side of it.

No.3 "Long Carry"

A 412 yard par four hole, which doglegs to the left. It is situated on the perimeter of the golf course and has an oil well just to the left of the fairway, which is naturally out of bounds. The out of bounds line extends around the corner and almost reaches the level of the brown. Trees protect each side of the fairway, a good tee shot should therefore be placed to the left centre of the fairway so as to avoid running off into the trees on the right. The brown is well protected by a bunker approximately 75 yards in front and across the fairway, a bunker to the left and one more at the back. A tree protects the right hand side, which is located awkwardly in line with the fairway bunker. Hence the stroke index of 4.

No.4 "Cardiac"

Aptly named because of the climb needed to reach the tee box of this 109 yard par three hole. Although the hole has an index of 18 it can and does cause a lot of players some heartache. To the right of the hole is the valley from which one has just climbed and once a tee shot has gone down there it is very difficult to get back up again. On the left is barren rock and an oil pipeline. Bunkers protect the front of the brown to the left and right, perfectly positioned for anything a little short. The brown slopes back towards the tee box and slightly to the right and depending on the pin position can have a vicious curve.

No.5 "Eagles Nest"

The first of the par fives, this 517 yard hole doglegs to the right. The tee box is located above the fairway which is wide and straight up to the corner, however, wayward shots to the right will be punished in the trees and dense shrubs and bushes, whilst on the left is an access road running between the tree line and more fairly thick undergrowth. Rounding the blind corner where the tree line ends but still overhangs the fairway, a shot too far to the left will carry on into the water hazard. A large bunker lies in front of the brown, which slopes gently towards the bunker. Beware of the pin position just in front of the bunker.

No. 6 "Jackson's Folly"

The second of the three par threes on the front nine. This is a 139 yard index 16 hole but it is not without its problems, a gully lies between the tee box and the brown and a tree is situated on the edge of the gully and in front of the right side of the brown. The brown is located on the top of the other side of the gully and slopes back towards it. Bunkers lie in wait for the wayward shot to the right and for the one that falls just short and to the left. It is also possible to hit the front of the brown only to roll back into the gully or the front bunker. And for those who choose to hit a longer ball beware of the bunker at the back of the brown.
